New Zealand's housing market continues its boom with a 3.1% increase compared to the previous year, as announced by the Real Estate Institute of New Zealand (REINZ). This marks the first year-on-year price increase since September 2022, with notable upticks seen in major cities nationwide.
According to REINZ, Christchurch particularly recorded a significant surge, showing a 5.2% increase compared to the previous year, indicating a market differentiation from other cities.
In Auckland, the average selling price soared beyond one million dollars, reaching $1,025,000. Consequently, there's a rising demand for affordable listings in the market, especially from investors seeking positive cash flows and first-time homebuyers considering affordability.
In Wellington, four out of eight districts saw a positive annual average housing price growth. Upper Hutt City led the surge with a 11.7% increase, second only to Masterton in terms of magnitude.

웰링턴에서는 8개 자치구 중 4개 자치구가 연간 평균 주택 가격 상승률이 플러스를 기록했다. 어퍼헛 시티는 11.7%로 상승세를 이어가며 마스터턴에 이어 두 번째로 높았다.
