Amidst fierce competition triggered by mortgage rate cuts, BNZ has garnered attention in the market by synchronizing recent mortgage rate cuts with adjustments in fixed deposits.
BNZ has emerged as a leading player in mortgage rate cuts in the market due to its recent reduction in rates. This new move aims to offer the lowest rates among competitors for the most popular fixed-term conditions.
However, significant changes among major banks have not occurred. Particularly, amidst a decline in new loan demands due to stagnation in the real estate market, no bank seems inclined to breach regulations.
While the 1-year rate range for retail banks stands at just 11 basis points (7.24%~7.35%), it's merely 70 basis points (6.69%~7.39%) for all banks combined.
Although BNZ aligned mortgage rate cuts with some fixed deposit reductions, avoiding term deposit cuts may be easier, especially for terms exceeding 2 years, which are less popular.
The recent changes among major banks followed a downward trend post the dovish moves of the Reserve Bank of New Zealand (RBNZ), indicating subsequent stability.

주택대출 금리 인하 경쟁이 치열한 가운데 BNZ가 최근 주택대출 금리 인하와 정기예금 인하를 조정함으로써 시장에서 주목을 받고 있다.
BNZ는 최근의 금리 인하로 인해 시장에서 주요한 주택대출 금리 인하 은행으로 떠올랐다. 새로운 조치는 가장 인기 있는 고정기간 조건에 대해 경쟁사 중 가장 낮은 금리를 제공하도록 했다.
그러나 이번 주요 은행들의 변화는 큰 폭으로 이뤄지지 않았다. 특히 부동산 시장의 침체로 신규 대출 수요가 줄어든 상황에서 어떤 은행도 규칙을 어겨 나서지 않는 것으로 나타났다.

BNZ는 주택대출 금리 인하를 일부 정기예금 인하와 일치시켰으나, TD 인하는 주로 인기가 없는 2년 이상의 고정이기 때문에 피하기가 더 쉬울 수 있다.
이번 주요 은행들의 변화는 비둘기파적인 중앙은행(RBNZ)의 움직임 이후 하락했지만 이후 안정세를 보이고 있다.
