Auckland, Monday - Leader of New Zealand's National Party, Lucy Luson, announced on Monday afternoon at the Cordis Hotel in Auckland that a policy agreement had been reached in a meeting with the ACT Party and NZ First Party. However, NZ First leader Peters expressed dissatisfaction, dismissing Luson's announcement as mere "assumption" in a press interview, and voiced a lack of optimism.

Luson noted challenges in reaching an agreement on issues such as tax cuts and a national vote on the Waitangi Treaty during crucial policy discussions, despite consensus on aspects like economic growth, restoring law and order, strengthening democracy, and enhancing public services.
Seymour, leader of the ACT Party, stated that this government formation plans to establish a tripartite coalition government where three parties stand on equal footing, rather than one party providing trust and supply to minority parties.
