The real estate agent responsible for selling the house, Cindy Jiang, revealed that the seller had decided to put the property on the market last year after constructing it for residential purposes. However, finalizing the deal took some time, as the buyers postponed their decision due to the wife's pregnancy and the house being under lease. A few months later, they rekindled their interest, inquiring with the agent to confirm if the house was still available for sale, and made a top-dollar offer to acquire it.
Records from OneRoof indicate that the land on which the mansion stands was sold for $4 million in 2018, with the construction permit granted later the same year. This transaction marks one of the high-end suburban real estate deals this year, with the area seeing two properties selling for over $20 million, three for over $12 million, and one for a price ranging from $8 million to $10 million.
Agent Jiang, however, stressed that contemporary and unique homes are piquing buyers' interest across various price ranges, with growing demand for such properties in the market. She emphasized that sellers can afford to wait for the right time to make their sales decisions, as they have the financial flexibility to carry the mortgage load, and there's no need to rush the sale.
