Buyers from Australia and the United States have displayed increased interest in New Zealand real estate, possibly due to one of the new government's promises allowing overseas buyers to purchase properties valued over $2 million. Nonetheless, the implementation of such changes is expected to take some time.
On a positive note, the number of properties listed for $2 million or more on TradeMe has surged from 6.7% to an impressive 10.4%, confirming the vigor of the housing market.
